Delightful Hearts From Our Heart Drawing
I love hearts in my hair, hearts on my clothes, hearts for jewelry. I’m not a red…red kind of person (unless I’m quilting it). I do like magenta and fuschia. So a pinky red?
Mostly, I love hearts on quilts. Every year, I’m fascinated with the hearts that come out on the quilts. The colors, shapes, styles… Oh, be still my heart..THEY ARE BEAUTIFULLY MAGNIFICENT!
For us makers, it’s creating those hearts, whether cutting up fabric and putting it back together or embroidering hearts (hand or machine, no matter) or the myriad of mediums we may choose, that brings us joy.
For me it’s not just the joy, it’s the smile that comes with the gift of a heart.
The rhythm of our loved ones heartbeat. Whether parent, a child, a spouse, a friend or even a pet. It sings in our own heart as a connection. (I know, that was kinda cheesy)
That’s what we really love about hearts.
We make them, we buy them, we share them and all the while the heart beats with our own heart. (there goes the cheesy again)
Here’s the ‘Drawing’ part

I haven’t had a chance to make any hearts yet in 2020. I’m sure it will happen, since it happens at least once a year. This isn’t near all of them…just all I could dig up in a short amount of time.
I hope they make you smile.
