QUILT PATTERN TESTERS PLEASE!

Pattern testing is necessary to release a pattern and I’m looking for interested volunteers to test my quilt patterns. I have several patterns in the works and am excited to be at this point of building a tester pool.

Whether you’re a beginner, advanced, or anything in between, your input will be invaluable!

When I have a pattern ready for testing, I will email several people from the tester pool. I’ll provide details such as a mockup, dates, and deadlines for the testing. The tester can then decide if they want to join the test.

Testers who accept will receive the pattern and additional details via email. Pattern tests may run 4-6 weeks.

What I need from you:

  • Confidentiality - Keep the pattern and details confidential (sneak peeks only!) until the pattern is published on my blog

  • Feedback - Mark any typos or areas where the wording is confusing. Email it back to me when you are complete with the test. Anything that deals with cutting instructions, assembly, pattern text, diagrams, and pattern layout. Please, let me know.

  • Deadline - Finish the pattern testing during the allotted time. We know life happens and if you cannot finish, please let us know. Testers who don’t complete the test and don’t reach out won’t be considered for future tests.

  • Photos - Send 1 or 2 clean, well-lit photos to me. Making only the quilt top is necessary for photos. Photos do not need to be of a finished quilt. You may use any fabric you like. It’s up to you!

  • Instagram - You must have a public Instagram page to apply

What you get from me:

  • A free pattern once it’s published

  • Free longarm quilting if you’re finished within the deadline and have followed all instructions

  • I’ll share your quilt top on my Instagram feed and recognize you by name and IG handle

  • After a pattern launch, I’ll write a blog post showing off all the testers and their quilts with links to your IG and/or website

I will strive to give testers all they need before testing. I’ll be sure to send out prompt updates and notifications via email if there are major corrections to the pattern.

At this time this is a volunteer position. We hope our future endeavors will allow us to make this a paid position.
